What age should my puppy start training?
The earlier, the better! We recommend starting our Puppy Foundations program as soon as your puppy is settled into their new home, typically between 8-16 weeks of age. Early training helps establish good habits and prevents behavioral issues from developing.
What's the difference between Private Coaching and Board & Train?
Private Coaching focuses on empowering you, the owner, with the skills and knowledge to train your puppy directly. Board & Train is an intensive program where your puppy stays with us for focused training, ideal for busy schedules or when you need accelerated progress. Both programs include owner coaching to ensure lasting results.
How long does the training take?
The duration varies depending on the program chosen and your puppy's individual needs. Our Private Coaching typically involves a series of weekly sessions, while Board & Train programs are usually 2 weeks. We'll discuss a personalized timeline during your consultation.
What training methods do you use?
We use relationship-based approach that emphasizes motivation, clear communication, structure, and guidance. Our approach is designed to build a strong, trusting bond between you and your puppy, making learning fun and effective.
Will there be other puppies in the training?
For Private Coaching sessions, training is completely personalized and one-on-one with your puppy, no other dogs present. For our Board & Train program, we maintain a maximum of 2 puppies at a time to ensure each puppy receives individualized attention.
What behaviors can you help with?
We address a wide range of puppy behaviors and foundational skills, including house-training, crate training, bite inhibition, jumping, nipping, leash walking, basic obedience commands, socialization, and confidence building. We also help owners understand their puppy's developmental phases and how to address age-appropriate challenges proactively.
What happens after training is complete?
Training doesn't end when the program concludes. We provide comprehensive maintenance guides and ongoing follow-up support to ensure your puppy's progress continues at home. You'll have access to resources and can reach out with questions as your puppy grows and develops.
